We had a fantastic holiday thank you and your villa was lovely. We also
really appreciated everything that Linda did for us i.e. clean towels every few days etc. We couldn't have wished for a better holiday, accommodation or location.
We gave Linda 5 euros for the broken plate and two glasses. You really did not have to send us the money back, but thank you.

Hello Kevin,
Cheers for returning the deposit, it arrived today 2 working days after we got back so I don’t think it was late at all.
The villa was ace, the pool was ace, the bbq was ace, the location was ace.
My golf however was not so ace, but that was due to my style not the course,
though Salgados is a hard course for someone of my limited ability.
Everyone had a really great time and its a shame we could not have stayed
longer.
Linda and Andy and the other cleaners were really good and helped us out
with more than just cleaning, they were an invaluable source of local
knowledge. If it wasn't for them we would never have known about the huge
screen put up for the football at the marina and would have missed out on
some great nights.
Peter the Busman was another godsend and was always prompt (If not Early) He ferried us about all over for very cheap rates. We loved the old town and the local restaurants, The pizza at the Qiunta Da Gale is excellent as is the service at the Por Do Sol.
We all have some great memories and hope to return soon, Thanks again

Your Villa met all our expectations and was in a great location for a gentle walk down to the local beaches, and most of the local restaurants were very good too.
A big thank you for your information pack that you have compiled as it proved invaluable when we needed to call out the emergency doctor for our 2 year old son , we would have been really in trouble as we had returned the hire cars that morning.
The English doctor was great as he arranged everything we needed including a taxi to the pharmacy in Albufera and back. Apart from the doctor incident , the lost case was a bit of a nightmare ,but thanks to Linda it was resolved in a few hours ,and the taxi driver was a few Euros better off .
Anyway, we all had a great time, would defiantly use your services again if we return to Portugal in the future.

I'd hardly had chance to unpack the suitcases when your cheque arrived this
morning!! Thank you so much for such a speedy service! I can't thank you
enough for all your help and advice, before and during our holiday. We've
had a really fantastic fortnight and the children were in tears when it was
time to go home!!
Your information on restaurants and beaches was excellent and we indulged in
them all. Scooby's was a real hit with the children and provided a fabulous
"last day" haven for us all. The adults, however, voted "Jompra" the best
of the bunch, enjoying good food, good wine, and excellent service.
Talking of service, Linda does you proud! Not only did she provide us with
an excellent cleaning service, but her tips, advice and assistance were
beyond the call of duty and we would like to thank her very much for all she
did.
We've had a fantastic holiday Kevin, so thank you again for everything you

Please thank Linda and Andrew for every thing they did for us, and when you E-mail Linda tell her I had to go to the doctors, as my ribs were hurting a lot, nothing they can do they are just cracked.
Rob was a godsend to us taking us on trips and shopping we were very pleased with every thing.

Thank you for all your help with the villa but just to say we have found one in Carvoeiro, we had a hard job as none of them were child friendly, but this one has a wall around the pool with a safety gate.
Your villa was lovely we hope this one will be good but you never know until you get there, we had alovely time in your villa this year and will consider it for another year, it was so very safe for Lee, Linda did send 3 for us to look at but the pool area was not safe for Lee they were too narrow, Lee might fall in he is only 2 and can not see any danger, he would not have been able to go all the way round he spent many hours in your villa just going round and round.
We do wish you a good year with your bookings. Thank you again for all your help, you have been very kind.

We had a great time in your lovely Villa. The grandchildren made full use
every day of your pool. We found all the beaches you told us about - our
own favourite was S Rafael Praia. The Villa was very well equipped and the
kitchen was a hive of industry at breakfast and lunch times. We found the
Pol do Sol Restaurant useful to walk to if we wanted a drink with our
evening meals and we also enjoyed a couple of visits to the excellent
Chinese Restaurant down the road opposite.
The grandsons found the "Slide and Splash" Water Park enjoyable and my
daughter and granddaughter enjoyed several visits to the Algarve Shopping
Centre. We all explored Albufeira and paid visits to Loule and Faro.
We thought our return last Thursday which coincided with the terrorist
concerns at our airports might result in a severe delay but no - we were
just an hour and a half late so all in all we had a really good holiday.
Thanks to Linda and Andy who were very helpful.

Well what can i say , the villa was fantastic, all the kids had a great time by the pool, it was getting very difficult to get them away from the villa to do anything they just wanted to stay there.
Linda was lovely,very helpful.

we has the most peaceful and relaxing holiday in such a lovely villa, it was beautiful.

We all had a great holiday at your villa which had lots of room for us all and spotlessly clean,the boys enjoyed the golf the kids the warm pool and the girls not cooking as we found your recomended eat outs excellent, the food much better than Spain.
Linda was a great help and may I thank you for allowing us to stay on until later on Thursday it was a great help as our flight was not until 17.50 and the kids enjoyed a last swim in the pool.

Thanks so much for letting us stay at your fab villa, we have had a really relaxing time chilling out by the pool and wandering over the road for a beer (or two....or three) James and Lucas loved playing in the pool and Lucas who is 3 and a half actually learnt to swim in your pool without using his swim jacket which was a fantastic thing for him and us. Andrew worked quite a lot, but he is a workaholic (!) so the internet access was fabulous and never let us down.
Linda was great too, we knew that we could call on her if there were any problems, but we didnt have any problems !! One last thing, we have stayed places with daily maid service before and yours is the only place where you know what time the maids will call which is really good. We didnt need them everyday but when they did come in they were great.

The facilities and services were great we heard from Linda that you will be arriving tomorrow yourselves. Hopefully the nice weather will stay on so you can still enjoy some pool time this year.
Our little boys also greatly enjoyed their stay there but unfortunately before we could set all breakables away they dropped a porcelain swan (?) on the floor which broke. Pleased let us know the cost of this.
Thank you also very much for letting us stay till after their sleeping time today, this really saved the day, especially since the youngest was not feeling well.

Holiday May/June 28/05/2008-05/06/2008Hi Kevin,
We really enjoyed our holiday in the Algarve ! The scenery was beautiful and there were so many beaches in the vicinity.The villa was so picturesque and really comfortable, clean and spacious.
We had a nice little routine going: a dip in the pool, followed by a nice BBQ on the veranda, overlooking the pool, with the sea view in the background. Life of Riley !
For any other BBQ fans, there is a good supermarket called, "Continente," which we would recommend. There ia also a, "Lidl".
Valentina loved the warmer climate, eating out, Zoo Marine and the pool, and was really giggly for most of the holiday. Our other daughter Dominique and friend Sophie went clubbing most nights and one morning when we opened the french windows, we found them asleep outside on the sunbeds, as they'd forgot their key !
We hope you'll enjoy your holiday in the UK and that the weather will still be good when you return to the Algarve. Please thank Linda , Andy and the Portuguese ladies for looking after us so well. Thank you, (we have received the cheque) and for everything.

Many thanks for your prompt response regarding the deposit and I am pleased that Linda found the villa as she hoped.
We had a fabulous holiday and your villa was of a very high standard, thank you. We were thrilled with the temperature and standard of the pool and spent many happy times in it over the past week (even a 6.30am dip this morning before getting ready for the airport!).
The building work opposite was non-existent so that caused us no noise, but thank you for warning us.
Once again, the villa was fantastic, thank you very much. Also, the service of Linda and Andy, the cleaners and the 'pool man' was simply fantastic - it all made for a very relaxed holiday.

Everything was brilliant thanks and your service has been second to none. We had a meal on a table next to Luis Figo at Evaristo which was nice.
As a suggestion though, as the weather was absolutely sweltering, a fan in each of the bedrooms (for a surcharge maybe) would help as it was uncomfortable to sleep at night.
Didnt spoil anything though, would definitely return.

Thanks for the return of the deposit received on Saturday and thanks also for the email.
I can only say Thank You for providing a fantastic venue for our annual family holiday. Your villa certainly lived up to our expectations, if not exceeding them. Our stay was comfortable and the villa was the perfect base for all of our excursions and trips. The maids were lovely, very friendly and it was a real treat for someone else to make the beds!! Linda and Andrew were truly fantastic; we honestly would have been quite lost and stranded without them. They were a mine of info and they together with the really jam packed info folder in the villa set us on our feet for a memorable holiday, for all the right reasons. Finally…we appreciated the two weeks of uninterrupted sunshine, thank you.
We will certainly be recommending your villa to our families and friends, although not too many people or we won’t be able to rebook due to high demand.
We wish you a happy summer in wet and drizzly Britain and hope to return to Margarida one day.

Thank you for everything. We had a wonderful time, the villa was perfect for us, the Algarve is truly beautiful and we found some lovely little beaches and secluded spots. I’m sure it would be very busy in the height of summer though. We did eat out a few times and found the Restaurant Laurenco wonderful - the service, food, and patience with children was amazing, not to mention the view – they made our meal time painless
Linda was wonderful and we made the most of being close to the beaches getting out most mornings which is why we missed her – please pass on our thanks to her too.

My apologies for only just coming back to you - work has been rather hectic since we returned from our holiday in your lovely villa. We had a very special time. Thanks for speedy response with the return of the security deposit. We hadn’t even touched down!
We have really enjoyed our stay in your Villa - it was very well equipped, good position near lots of restaurants and supermarkets and just a short walk away to beaches. Pool was great with plenty of sun beds and chairs.
We did manage without a car, and used taxis to get to Albafueira and the water park.
Linda and Andrew were very helpful - there if you needed them. But not if you didn’t! Linda went out of her way several times to advise us and they even gave us a lift to the beach the first day we arrived!
Everything went without a hitch. Even when a toilet seat broke - it was replaced the very same day as reported and she said it was general wear and tear so would not affect our deposit.
Thanks to for the use of internet - it kept my 16 year old son happy with his ipod!
I had visited the area some 10 years ago and it is growing in popularity. I actually thought Albafueira had improved from 10 years ago and we enjoyed the marina and a boat trip.

We all had a wonderful time in Gale and the morning of rain only stopped my wife getting more sunburn! We are all very jealous of the villa, it must be a treat to live there. The surroundings are ideal and after seeing some of the for sale signs, it might have sparked thoughts of holiday homes with the older members of our party!
Please pass on our thanks to Linda and Illiyana the cleaner, who were both great. They made us welcome and looked after us. We will would be happy to recommed your villa to our friends and we might even do a return visit!

Dear Kevin,
We arrived back at Cardiff airport last night and came out of the terminal to be greeted with torrential rain – a far cry from the lovely day we had just spent in glorious sunshine with clear blue skies – we were glad to arrive home safely a few hours later! The villa was wonderful and suited our needs perfectly, especially the safety features and the pool for the young children. Linda was extremely helpful and we soon settled in when we first arrived. The transfer arrangements from and to the airport at Faro worked perfectly. The maid did an excellent job keeping the villa clean and comfortable for us. After some deliberation we worked out satisfactory sleeping arrangements and having an extra person was not a problem. The buggy was a great help and we made good use of it – thank you.

Thanks for the prompt return of the deposit cheque. I would just like to say what a fantastic holiday he villa was very well equipped and ideal for us with young children. As we did not hire a car the location was perfect as you could walk to pretty much everything and if not the taxi rank was just at the end of the road. We had a couple of lovely meals at Evaristo, what a setting!!!!

Hi Kevin, Thanks for cheque.
We had a wonderful time , thank you for your lovely home. We found everything we needed and more. It was very well equipped and was in a lovely position, close to the View Bar (which we visited very frequently ) very welcoming staff. We based ourselves around the pool and rarely moved.We went to Zoomarine which we thought was good value for money and a daytrip to Albufireria. We also went to the beach twice, we aren't beachy people but Sophie (and her mum ) had a brill time building sandcastles and boats to sail off in lol. If we come back to portugal I will certainly be giving you a mail. Linda was helpful, we didn't need her services much wer'e are pretty self sufficient and the cleaner Ilyana, I believe her name was, was really nice . My daughter thanked her in Portugeuse only to find out she is actually from Bulgaria.

All the family had a WONDERFUL holiday and your villa is absolutely beautiful. It was everything you said it was and more
so thank you for allowing us to stay there. Ben had a ball - he even managed to swim the full length of the pool (with armbands)!!!
The pool too was amazing. On all accounts it is the best place we have stayed at!
I hope we left it in a satisfactory condition, although I did have a check around and all looked ok. I tried to make sure we left everything as we found it and no breakages.
The weather also was unbelievable - high 30s to 40 degrees! Amazing, especially as it was terrible in Scotland all the time we were away!
Ben loved Zoomarine. He even went on the rollercoaster 4 times and laughed all the way round!
We were all very sad at having to come away and feeling quite 'flat' now! My house seems very quiet now we are on our own again!

The villa was just perfect, we had a really lovely holiday thank you so much, and the villa was just as described and more ! pics on website do it no justice. Good to hear all is ok with villa. I would just like to say how very much we all enjoyed our holiday in your villa. We had a great 2 weeks and everything worked out well. We used the pool cover every evening and it kept the temperature up in the pool which enabled the children to play as long as they like and not once did they say it was cold. (and the adults enjoyed it too) The maids did a great job and although Linda was on the end of the phone we did not need to contact her as everything ran like clockwork. Thank you very much and maybe in the future we will be in touch again.

Kevin We tried to look after your villa as if it was our own. We had an absolutely wonderful time in your villa and the area as a whole. Your accommodation was perfect, comfortable and well furnished rooms, good equipment in the kitchen and utility, ( a few extra tea mugs would help though) plenty of hot water, very good pool side furniture with a great pool and the maid service was excellent, so I hope they found our gratuity we left them a good reflection of our appreciation - we would have left more but just ran out of euros!. Your large guide to the area was interesting and was helpful to us as we tried some of the restaurants and found them all very good. Otherwise our party (some new to the Algarve) managed to see Portimao, Cape St. Vincent, Monchique, Faro, Silves, Loule, Albuferia, Pera Sand Sculptures, Tavira town & the Isle and Quinta de Largo in all.
All in all one of the very best holidays we have had, helped by your villa and of course the great friends we had with us for the 2 weeks. Thanks again and we will definitely include your place in our decisions when we next visit the area, as the location and property suit us perfectly.

We had a brilliant time at Villa Margarida.
Your villa is absolutely lovely and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The lounge is spacious and nicely decorated and the bedrooms really comfortable. The kitchen is very well equipped and nicely laid out. All in all it was everything we wanted.
The kids loved the pool and we spent a lot of time just chilling round it.
We got lost on the way in, our flight was delayed by 2 hours and by the time we had got the car it was about 10pm before we left the airport. Some of the road signs were quite difficult to see at night, we had a massive coach close on our tail and we saw a sign for Albufeira and took it. We ended up in Montechore on the same night that Portugal had got through to the quarterfinals and everywhere was chaos. People were everywhere, hanging out of car windows, running in the road,etc.After driving round for a bit not having a clue, we rang Andy who was absolutely brilliant and came to rescue us.
After those things looked up, the sun was out every day, we went to most of the beaches and did the tour round the Algarve, went to the shopping centre and the Marina, enjoyed the restaurants and really enjoyed ourselves.
We would like to go back to Gale again and we would most definitely book your villa again as we couldn’t fault it.

We arrived home safe and had a wonderful time in your villa. It was everything we expected and more. We would go back in the morning if we did not have to go back to work. The only downfall was the transportation bus service was very poor and taxis are hard to get in the evening but that did not spoil our time.

Thank you for the very prompt return of my deposit - it was in yesterday's mail. I'm glad all was ok after we left - the younger generation tend to be more relaxed with other people's property, but in the main, they all behaved themselves well!
We had a lovely, relaxing week, mostly spent at the villa and pool, but we explored the beaches and the walks to the shops gave us some exercise to work off the good food! We were treated to a super meal at Jompra by the children, one of the nicest I've had. The weather was kind to us right up until the last day when it became overcast and cooler in the morning, but brightened up just before we left for the airport.
Many thanks for all your help in organising this break, it was all much easier than I had expected. I hope you enjoy the rest of your stay in the UK.

Just a quick note, to say thanks for the return of the deposit. We had an absolutely lovely holiday in Villa Margarida. From the pool, to the BBQ, to the local beaches everything was excellent. With three teenagers the WiFi and the UK tv went down a treat.

Just arrived home this evening about 8pm to a very hot Ireland, wouldn't you know the one year we go on holiday we get the same weather at home!! But we had a fabulous holiday, your villa was magnificent, we just all adored the pool and spent hours upon hours until dark in it.
We hired Kevin a few times and he was very nice and as you said much cheaper than hiring a minibus ourselves. Andrew gave us back the deposit and thank you for that.

We had a great holiday in Albufeira - we absolutely loved your Villa and it was exactly as you have described it. We also loved the pool - I felt sorry for your neighbours during the first few days as the kids had great fun in the pool and it was difficult to keep their squeals to a limit, but they had a whale of a time. We did make it to Slide & Splash for a day and had a wonderful time and the ladies visited the Gypsy market, where we got good bargains. We also spent a day at Gale beach and hired a paddle boat, which we enjoyed. We didnt make it to any of the other beaches as we were so happy to relax at your Villa and enjoy the pool.
Thank you so much for all your help Kevin - the information you supplied us with was invaluable and you have always been very patient and kind in answering our many questions, for which we are very grateful.

I had not anticipated such a quick response and was going to ask you to deduct £10.00 from our deposit, for the girls. I intended to enclose money in the card I left for them. Unfortunately, I realised I'd left the Euros in my other handbag, in my suitcase, and the taxi arrived early not leaving me no time to retrieve it, so I will forward the money to you for them, if that is OK.
We went to Jompra's restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Please tell Andy and Linda it was a good call and thanks!

Thanks for paying that it in. We had an absolutely fantastic time. Everything went really smoothly including all the transfers.
We're not big ones for a lot of roaming around so apart from a couple of short trips to the old town we spent most of our time in the villa or the Por de Sol lol! It all worked out to be exactly what we wanted so thanks again for letting us have the use of your beautiful home. You're a very lucky man.
It was our first trip to Portugal and I have no doubt we will be back.

The villa and the area were both exactly what I was looking for and it has been an extremely relaxing break which I have thoroughly enjoyed. I can certainly see the appeal of living in such a place on a more permanent basis. So if you are ever looking for a buyer!
Weather has been mostly unbroken sunshine with a bit of rain on the first Saturday and v windy and overcast yesterday. But perfect for long runs out across the wetlands towards amacao.

My family and I recently spent two weeks staying in Kevin's villa, I could not fault a single thing. A daily maid service and weekly linen change was a really nice touch and found the contact in Portugal to be friendly and helpful. There is a lovely solar heated pool which was big enough for the 6 adults and child that were there and more than enough sun loungers and umbrellas for everyone. I found Kevin the owner to be very helpful in arranging our booking and answering the thousands of questions that I had before departure. This villa is very child friendly with toys, cot and monitors included also there is a gate to the pool to stop wandering imps!! I enjoyed the area with a number of friendly bars and restaurants including Nelson at Tia Maria's who must be the nicest friendliest host we have ever had in a restaurant anywhere! Close proximity to the beach and all amenities. My family and I have already discussed returning again. I couldn't recommend Villa Margarida enough!!

I'm sorry for my late email. Actually we have been travelling around Norway until last week and I just brought a device, for my I phone, which I don't find very suitable for emails. So I usually don't use it for that purpose.
When it comes to our holiday in your villa, we had a wonderful time there. The description of the villa at Owners Direct was conscientiously and all our expectations where completely fulfilled (which it's not always the case when renting properties just from pictures and subjective descriptions). It was so child friendly and I don't think we could have found a better house for our needs. The neighbourhood was nice and we also rented a car to see more of the Algarve coast. But the house was still the most important to us this time.
Once again I want to thank you so much for all your help and information.
